I met Jonni a few years ago while participating in the Gvahim Career Program. His lecture was hypnotizing and he not only helped us define our goals but also challenged and encouraged us to network in order to succeed. It was very interesting and his passion was contagious!

I was lucky to attend Jonni's lecture on networking as a part of the Gvahim Career Program. I come from Russia, where networking isn't very popular: Everybody know what is it but rarely someone actually use it. So a lot of information and methods that Yoni told us were very useful and the way he gave it was very engaging and inspirational.-

In this module, you will learn the timeless truths of becoming a great networker. It doesn't matter whether you are an extrovert or an introvert.. You will understand the most important characteristics of the Israeli business culture and how you can navigate yourself to success in one of the most dynamic tech eco-systems in the world. If you're an Oleh, you will learn why you have a unique winning card, to help you get a meeting with almost anyone in one of your dream companies.
We'll start setting you up for success by helping you optimize your presentation skills. That will help you reach out to people with more confidence and clarity. But most importantly it will help other people help you. While most Israeli professionals are willing to help, they are impatient and appreciate people who can "cut to the chase (be "tachles"). You will learn how to answer one of the most often questions asked in Israel: "so, what do you do?" in a way that intrigues and stands out. By the end of this module you will have:
In this module, you're going to get on the fast track to defining your goals, so you can network with purpose and direction. You'll get some simple models so that you have a crystal clear picture of what you will be working towards. You will then define the immediate short-term action steps you need to take in order to get there.
Networking randomly without purpose or plan is equal to flying an airplane with no navigation instruments. Without a goal, you are going “full gas ba neutral” as we say in Israel. That means “Driving full speed in a neutral gear”.
Instead, by the end of this module, you will have:
This module will save you a lot of time in the long run. It will do that by helping you focus your energy on connecting with the people you need to network with right now to progress towards achieving your long-term goal. You will learn to break up that long-term goal into smaller learning and connection goals. You will learn to center your activities on what immediate steps you need to take to reach your end goal. This will motivate you to action, stay on track, and avoid distractions as you progress towards landing your dream job.
Setting your goals is the first step. Now it’s time to identify the people who can help you reach those goals. You'll map out your eco-system (it's easier than you think) by identifying:
By the end of this module, you will have created your first list of contacts likely to help you reach your goals by:
In this module, you'll learn different strategies to reach people on your list. We’ll also give some real-life examples, email templates, and other best practices to help you. The goal here is twofold: 1. To create ambassadors who will refer you with a warm recommendation from the inside of your dream company when the time comes for a relevant position. 2. To Learn more about your targeted industry and company (human intel that you can't get from google research. As a result, you will appear more knowledgeable with others. Also, this is a great opportunity to ask for introductions to more relevant people. After completion of this module, you will have:
This module is the longest in the course with 10 lessons and will be spread over two weeks.
Networking is a long-term game. The sweetest fruits will take time to ripen. But in order to reap the harvest from this work, you need to nurture them by creating consistent touchpoints. That's the only way you can stay on the radar of your contacts. We will set up an easy and fun system to help you take consistent action over time and create those small habits that will help you nurture strategic relationships. Upon completion of this module, you will have:

There is no one set answer to this question. In fact, it is almost impossible to answer because every student starts from a different place and has their own unique circumstances and experiences in terms of how much time and focus they can devote each week to the program.
We encourage you to try to schedule 1 hour per week watching the lessons, and another few hours each week implementing the lessons
You can move at your own pace as your time allows. Success doesn’t happen overnight. ;)
Definitely! While written in English and based on experience from Jonni's work with coaching +500 Olim professionals over the last 6 years, the strategies are equally helpful for Olim and "sabres".
Of course! Networking is a craft, which anybody can learn to master. When the main currency is trust, it doesn't really matter whether you are an extrovert or an introvert. You can only be successful when you are being yourself. You just need a style that feels natural for you. You can be a great networker, despite not feeling comfortable in a large room of people. If you can build trust 1-on-1, you’ve got it.
Hi, my name is Jonni Niemann. Raised in Denmark, I made Aliyah in 2006 and have never looked back since. I have coached and helped more than 600 Olim professionals to network themselves to a quality job in Israel as a program manager for a career program called Tech Heights.
I've seen firsthand how talented immigrant tech professionals have taken the leap and moved out of their comfort zone to build the relationships needed to land a dream job in Israel. With a bit of guidance and direction and a LOT of consistent hard work, the Olim I have coached have landed jobs in companies such as Apple, Facebook, Mobileye, Amazon. etc. However, also in many of the Israeli start-ups in hyper-growth mode.
If you're are sales, marketing, product manager or software developer, data-scientist or electrical engineer, and looking for your next career step, you owe it to yourself to see how building a strong network can help you land a job you love in the start-up nation. To experience the satisfaction it will be to wake up motivated and excited to get to work and making an impact. I believe that if you take real tangible steps to build, grow and amplify a professional network in Israel, landing a job that makes you feel fulfilled is within your reach.
Should you chose to accept my invitation, I will personally do my best to ensure that these next 6 weeks will be completely and utterly life-changing for you.
I look forward to meeting you personally inside the Networking in Israel course
